AF’s unique grant funding consultancy service is the only one of its type in the UK with a vast knowledge of local, regional and national grants from a wide range of sources across all industry sectors.
The team is hugely experienced in applying for and evaluating grant applications and are supported by AF's wealth of industry knowledge.
We work with businesses to identify potential projects and investments in their business and then proactively seek grant funding to help the business to achieve its goals.
Tapped into all of the relevant funding networks including the Rural Development Programme and Local Enterprise Partnerships, GrantResource provides members with a complete service when it comes to grant funding.
GrantResource helped us secure funding for additional equipment to help grow our business, from the initial discussion to confirmation of the grant only took three weeks. We would definitely use the full service again and found the assistance filling in the application forms value for money.

One of the things that makes GrantResource unique is the proactive service that it provides its members when it comes to information relating to grant funding.
Many different sources of grant funding are available across all industry sectors but understanding them and keeping up to date with them can be an almost impossible task.
Many grants are launched for a limited period of time and are very difficult to keep track of. The GrantResource service ensures that members do not miss out on grant funding that they are entitled to receive.
I believe that GrantResource offers a valuable service to its members and general public alike. Being a trusted organisation with a strong track record of success, offering a highly professional service in a competitive market. At New Anglia Growth Hub we welcome enquiries from Anglia Farmers in the knowledge that they have been thoroughly researched and referred correctly, thus enabling us to meet client expectations.
John Stenhouse, New Anglia LEP Growth Hub Manager
GrantResource members are made aware of the grant funding streams that are relevant to their business and are provided the information in an easy to understand and jargon free manner.
The team also works proactively with members to help them identify potential projects and investments that could attract grant funding, and also make contact with the relevant funding agencies to ensure that all the relevant eligiblity criteria are met before an application is made.
The grant application process is very often hugely complicated and heavily bureaucratic and businesses are often put off by the complexity of the process and the time it takes to put together an application. The GrantResource team have a great deal of experience in compiling detailed grant applications and business plans and have a very impressive success rate.
The way the unique GrantResource application service is structured removes a large element of the risk from the business when applying for grants and proves to be a very cost-effective way of working with a consultancy.
In many cases businesses are put off by high consultancy fees with no guarantee of a successful outcome. Most grants are competitive so it is impossible to guarantee that a grant is awarded but by structuring the service in a certain way, GrantResource is encouraging members to apply for funding giving them the best chance possible of achieving a positive result.
Whilst a grant offer cannot be guaranteed, GrantResource has the knowledge, expertise, experience and track record to give members the best chance of gaining access to funds that they are entitled to.
GrantResource members are able to benefit from the application writing service as part of their membership..
Not already a member of AF GrantResource but need help applying for an existing grant? You can benefit from our application service without becoming a full GrantResource member.

Dan heads up the GrantResource team and has been with Anglia Farmers since July 2014 after being approached by CEO Clarke Willis to create a business plan for a business support service for AF members that concentrates on grant funding. After a great deal of research among members and other businesses the GrantResource service was launched in September 2014.
Dan grew up on a farm near Dereham and has a degree in Marketing and joined AF from Breckland Council where he was Senior Economic Development Officer for 5 years focussing on providing businesses with support and guidance and also working on the European funded Grants4Growth programme. With a real passion for rural development and supporting businesses, Dan sits on the Brecks Local Action Group (LAG) and is very well connected in Local Government and with the Local Enterprise Partnerships.
With a strong background in Marketing, Business Development and Business Support, Dan has a significant amount of knowledge and experience when it comes to grant funding.
Jill has been working for the past 22 months within the Affinity Team as an administrator and key contact point for their membership.
Previously, she ran her own independent retail business for 10 years in partnership with her husband. This had been a farm diversification project that had got out of hand – the family farm then having been sold!
She is familiar with the challenges faced by all businesses, agricultural and otherwise. She is looking forward to helping the membership find imaginative and inventive new ways of continuing and developing their businesses.
We were looking to expand our business and needed specialised equipment to do so, this was to cost us over £20k. We spoke to Dan at Anglia Farmers and he said that he knew of a grant we could apply for that was closing within a week. With Dan’s help and assistance we applied for the grant and within three weeks were told it had been successful. The grant has helped us to expand and grow a new side of our business - Thanks to Dan and Anglia Farmers for all of their help.

When I met Dan we were toying with the idea of applying for an £8k grant to help with the lighting and heating in our proposed egg business, after Dan had listened to our ideas and made a few suggestions of his own we arrived at a grant proposal that would greatly improve the welfare of our stock and increase the employment offered. Due to the hard work and encouragement of Dan and his team we were able to secure a grant for £148k and now our business will be able to grow in a new and much stronger direction.
David Laurie, D R & T J Laurie Partnership
Throughout the whole process of our successful grant application I have been impressed by Dan’s skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and diligence. The whole grant process should be thorough but it is the process of application and the time involved that initially deters businesses such as myself. In Dan you have an individual who understands the system, can translate this into farmer friendly form and achieve success. I can only commend Anglia Farmers in their foresight in setting up GrantResource and congratulate you on identifying an individual with such a comprehensive set of skills to manage it.
