Two members of AF staff have been awarded vouchers of their choice after successfully going above and beyond their duties at work. The awards are part of the newly-created SERV recognition scheme which has been launched to acknowledge staff members who continually demonstrate AF’s core values of Service, Excellence, Responsibility, and Value.
The SERV awards are announced every eight weeks and AF staff are empowered to nominate their colleagues for the honours.
The inaugural winners, each receiving vouchers to the value of £75, are Samantha Barrell and Kristian Dunham. Sam was nominated a number of times by her colleagues who felt she went over and above in demonstrating the SERV values. In particular, Sam offered excellent service to both members and staff when an IT glitch temporarily affected some of our invoicing.
Kristian was repeatedly nominated by his colleagues for going the extra mile to secure the right products for members, and exceeding their expectations. One of the members also praised Kristian saying ‘he definitely saves this business money on nearly a daily basis with his ordering and quotes.’
Presenting the awards to the winners, AF’s CEO Jon Duffy said: “AF’s new SERV values - Service, Excellence, Responsibility and Value - together with their accompanying behaviours, underpin our strategy of putting people at the heart of the business. Here at AF we want to delight our members, in every transaction, and Sam and Kristian have done just that by exceeding their expectations. These are the first SERV awards and I am looking forward to recognising even more staff who go above and beyond to deliver excellent service to the members.”
